The analysis is based upon official statistical data and standard statistical methods, including correlation and regression analysis, as well as demographic forecasts of the population change and migration till 2035 and 2050. The authors regard migration as a means of achieving the demographic sustainability of the Russian society and solving the related economic problems. The study provides an overview of the latest developments in the demographic and migration trends in Russia and its regions, which proves that migration has become the only source of population replacement. Scenario analysis is applied to estimate migration prospects in this regard. The authors also estimate the role of migration in the redistribution of the Russian population and its spatial disproportions. In conclusion, possible ways to further improve migration policy in the interests of the country’s sustainable demographic development are suggested. The originality and significance of the study lie in the generalization of statistical data and a comprehensive approach to their analysis which makes it possible to embrace the complex interconnection between migration, population dynamics, spatial and socio-economic development.Ключевые слова: demographic development replacement migration population distribution population age structure international and internal migration demographic forecasting migration policy Рубрики: Смежные дисциплиныВозможно, вам будут интересны другие публикации:Ryazantsev S.V.
